Youth of Promise Fund

ACF is looking forward to continuing its partnership with the Contra Costa County Probation Department on the Youth of Promise Fund. A first of its kind in the county, the Youth of Promise Fund offers micro-grants to nonprofit organizations serving justice-system involved youth and youth at risk of justice-system involvement in East Contra Costa County.  

With its commitment of $200,000 for 2026-2027, Contra Costa Probation Department in partnership with ACF aims to expand the pool of programs and services available to youth and families most in need by providing support to non-profit organizations serving East and/or Central Contra Costa communities. Programs and services eligible for Youth of Promise Fund grants may include:

  • Academic success, mentoring, and tutoring
  • Leadership development
  • Prevention activities
  • Civic engagement/social justice
  • Youth employment (i.e., internships, work-ready skills training, etc.)

The Probation Office encourages people and organizations in need of assistance to visit the RESTORING HOPE COCO online service directory. The directory connects individuals and families impacted by the justice system to local resources.
